Logo Design for Kobe Steakland

Hi Gav,

The goal of these concepts was to create a brand that feels refined, memorable and timeless. Rather than relying on detailed illustrations or busy graphics, each design focuses on simple, elegant forms that reflect the quality of the dining experience.

You'll also notice some concepts shown on mock-ups. These are simply for context, helping you visualise how the logo could look on menus, signage, packaging or stationery. The final logo itself remains clean and versatile across every application.

Concept 1: Logo Design for Kobe Steakland

This concept combines a hand-drawn illustration of the cattle with a flowing script wordmark. The result feels personal, refined and handcrafted, reflecting the care that goes into both the food and the dining experience.

The small Japanese-inspired seal adds a subtle cultural reference without overpowering the design. Overall, this is an elegant identity that feels equally at home on menus, signage and premium packaging.

Concept 2: Logo Design for Kobe Steakland

This concept combines a simple script wordmark with a custom illustrated emblem inspired by Japanese landscapes and heritage. The emblem adds character without overwhelming the logo, creating a refined balance between tradition and modern dining.

The presentation shown here is purely for context, demonstrating how the branding could appear on menus, stationery or premium packaging. It highlights how the logo remains clean, elegant and memorable, while allowing the emblem to become a distinctive brand asset that can also be used independently across the restaurant's branding.

Concept 3: Logo Design for Kobe Steakland

This direction introduces a more iconic brand mark. The circular illustration combines the cattle with subtle Japanese-inspired landscape elements to create a distinctive symbol that can easily become recognisable on its own.

Paired with the clean typography and seal, this concept offers flexibility across signage, menus, uniforms and digital platforms while maintaining a premium feel.

Concept 4: Logo Design for Kobe Steakland

This concept focuses on typography with Japanese-inspired elements. The bold Japanese characters immediately create a sense of authenticity, while the clean serif type keeps the overall presentation modern and balanced.

The small emblem provides an additional brand element that can also be used independently across packaging, social media or promotional material.

Concept 5: Logo Design for Kobe Steakland

A lighter, more minimal approach that uses a continuous line to form both the cattle and the Kobe name. The simplicity gives the logo a relaxed confidence while still feeling premium.

Its fine lines create a sophisticated look that works particularly well for printed menus, wine lists and stationery where understated branding has the greatest impact.
